Dr. Qasim is a qualified linguistics instructor equipped with the language teaching skills and knowledge with ten years of experience in teaching and research. Her teaching experience ranges from online instruction to onsite professional training of prospective and in-service professionals. She is adept at designing meaningful, up-to- date, and effective curriculum that engages learners and expedites learning while focusing on the individual needs of each learner.
Her qualification includes a PhD degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Memphis, TN, USA. Currently, she is working as an assistant professor in the University of Lahore, Sub-Campus Sargodha as an Assistant Professor and the Coordinator of Department of English Language and Literature. She has published research papers involving qualitative and quantitative analysis of gendered humour, trilingual conversations, task-based language teaching, language policy of Pakistan, and language assessment. Her dissertation focuses on assisting students to become self-directing and self-initiating learners through meaningful corrective feedback.
