Biography
Dr Aamir Amanat is presently working as Assistant Professor at the Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Lahore (UOL), Lahore. Dr Amanat was interested in nature, environment and impacts of human interventions on ecosystem. In 2002, he enrolled in Masters of Applied Environmental Sciences program offered by Institute of Earth Sciences, the University of Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. During research work, he has developed extensive understanding in water and wastewater treatment techniques in the department laboratory. After one year working as lecturer, in department of Environmental Sciences, GC University Faisalabad. He was awarded graduate assistant scholarship for PhD studies in Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Malaysia.
His research interests include treatment of wastewater techniques, health safety and environmental issues in different sectors of Pakistan’s society. He is also dedicated towards raising awareness of environmental conservation through teaching and research.
