Dr. Shaheen Irfan

Dr. Shaheen Irfan obtained her M.Sc. in Nuclear Physics from Karachi University. She started her teaching career in 2003 from Defence Authority Public School, O and A levels, DHA Phase VIII, Karachi. She completed her M. Phil in Particle Physics from the Center for High Energy Physics (CHEP), Punjab University in 2008. After completing her M. Phil, she joined Dual Degree Program (DDP) / Lancaster Block of COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Lahore, as a lecturer. She started her PhD in 2011 under HEC indigenous scholarship from CHEP. In January 2016, she joined Department of Physics, Syed Baber Ali School of Science & Engineering, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). After completing her PhD in December 2016, she started working as a visiting assistant professor at LUMS. She was also a member of the Senior Project Committee.
Dr. Shaheen’s PhD research is affiliated with Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas, USA. Her core expertise is in the field of Theoretical High Energy Physics (Particle Physics) and focused area of research is Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). She has joined The University of Lahore (UOL) in January 2018 as an assistant professor.
