Biography

Prof Dr. Muhammad Ozair Ahmad is an eminent professor of applied mathematics. He earned his Ph.D. Mathematics degree from the University of Western Ontario, London, Canada. He has been serving the Department of Mathematics & Statistics since 2014 as a professor. He acted as Head of the Department of Mathematics & Statistics till 15 June, 2022. He has supervised more than 100 M. Phil. (Mathematics) students and produced 12 Ph.D. students. Moreover, he has published more that 100 research articles. He is the author of 2 books. His field of research is Numerical Analysis. Before this, he served at University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila and University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. After his retirement from University of Engineering and Technology as Chairman of the Department, he joined University of Lahore as Professor. Currently, he is working on numerical solutions to fractional differential equations.
