Biography

Faisal Ali did his M.Sc in Physical Chemistry from University of the Punjab, Lahore in 2014. He obtained M.Phil degree in Physical Chemistry from University of the Punjab Lahore in 2017. Currently, He is doing PhD from University of the Punjab, Lahore. He won a Commonwealth scholarship from the UK government for his Doctoral studies at Loughborough University, UK. He got hands-on training on instruments like FE-SEM with EDX, XRD, UV/Vis spectrophotometer, FTIR, TGA/DSC and DLS with zetasizer. He secured 1st position among lecturers for the Research Productivity Award in 2021. He worked as a lecturer in Physical Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, University of Sargodha, (Sub Campus) Mandi Bahauddin from September 2017 to December 2018. He worked as a visiting lecturer in UVAS, Lahore from Feb 2017 to July 2017. He joined the Department of Chemistry, University of Lahore, Main Campus Lahore in February 2019. Currently, he is working as a Lecturer in Physical Chemistry. He published >40 research articles in peer-reviewed international journals with an accumulative impact factor of >190 which have attracted >650 citations with h-index of >15 and i-10 index of 25 (Google Scholar). He attended >10 international conferences and completed 2 Advanced Teaching courses. More than 15 M.Phil and >20 M.Sc/BS research students have completed their dissertations under his supervision. His area of research is smart, hybrid polymeric and Nanomaterials for catalytic, adsorption and electrochemical applications. His poster got 1st position in the International Conference on Material Science and Chemistry (ICCMS, May 2022).
