Biography

Asghar Nadeem Syed is a Pakistani drama serial writer. He wrote the famous play "Chaand Garhan", an Urdu drama serial. He uses the mediums of poetry, drama, essay, short story and wrote columns for newspapers. His dramas depict the social injustices in the society. He has served as Media Consultant at Pakistan Television, Private TV Channels and a number of NGOs. He has served on the Board of Governors of Pakistan Academy of Letters, an institution of Pakistani scholars and writers. He has served as Director Lahore Museum as well. It is difficult to enlist all his awards but famous amongst them is the President award of Pride of Performance, best writer PTV award for ten consecutive years, Best writer NTM award for five consecutive years, fifteen Nigar awards and twenty graduate awards.
