Biography:


Azmat Iqbal did MPhil and PhD in High Energy Physics from Centre of High Energy Physics (CHEP), University of the Punjab Lahore in 2013. This study was funded by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan under Indigenous Fellowship Program. His PhD research work is concerned with analysis of (Psi, Psi(2S)) decays into Cascade(1530) Cascade_bar(1530) on the experimental data of BESIII Collaboration of Particle Physics China. Before joining The University Of Lahore, Iqbal has taught at various institutions in Pakistan including University of Central Punjab Lahore (on visiting faculty), University of Education Township Lahore (as visiting faculty), and COMSATS Institute of Information Technology Lahore (on HEC sponsored IPFP faculty position as assistant professor). His teaching interests are Quantum Mechanics, Quantum Optics, Quantum Field Theories, Particle Physics, Mathematical Physics. Iqbal has taught courses of Mathematics, Methods of Mathematical Physics, Basic Electronics, Fundamental Physics and Quantum Mechanics at undergraduate, graduate and post graduate levels. Iqbal has a wide research interests including particle physics, atomic and molecular physics, density functional theory, condense matter physics, quantum optics, plasmonics and photonics. He has co-authored 12 research articles published in prestigious journals such as Physical Review A, Physics Letters A, International Journal of Quantum Chemistry. Iqbal has co-authored a textbook of physics for class 10 which has been selected as a textbook by the Punjab Textbook Board Lahore since 2013. The book has been also taught as textbook by Islamabad Federal Textbook Board for the last few years.
