Muhammad Ajmal Sandhu

Graduated from Government College University Lahore in Social Sciences (1999). Completed Master in History from University of The Punjab Lahore in 2002 and M.Sc. in Anthropology from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad in 2004. Worked in the development sector till 2010 with/for different INGOs including CWS P/A, The Asia Foundation, Danish Red Cross, Pakistan Red Crescent Society, LEAD Pakistan, UNDP, WV and IUCN. Also worked in some local, both public and private sector, organisations including Punjab Institute of Language, Art and Culture; Logicman (Pvt.) Ltd.; Sustainable Initiatives Islamabad, and Centre for Public Policy Research at the Institute of Management Sciences Peshawar. Mainly remained involved in research and report writing along with administrative and managerial tasks in the field of project management. Left for Germany in 2010 for Masters in Democratic Governance and Civil Society (Political Science) from University of Osnabrueck on DAAD's PPGG scholarship and returned to Pakistan in April 2015. Joined Centre for Governance and Public Accountability as Manager Research and Publications lasting in May 2016, thereafter rendered consultancy services for Project Development to Bin Anwar (Pvt.) Ltd. Islamabad till September 2016. Lastly, joined School of Integrated Social Sciences (SISS) as Senior Lecturer; and Centre for Security, Strategy and Policy Research as Research Associate at University of Lahore, Defense Road Campus Lahore on October 4, 2016. Teaching different social science courses at the School (SISS) and further, interested in pursuing research on development and governance related issues in Pakistan at the Research Centre (CSSPR).
