Muhammad Fainan Hanif received the Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the
University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand, in 2011. Later, he was as a postdoctoral researcher
at the Centre for Wireless Communications, Department of Communications Engineering, University of
Oulu, Finland. He has also worked as a Research Associate within the Computing and
Communications Department of the Lancaster University, United Kingdom. His research interests include
convex optimization applications in signal processing and modern communication systems.
