Dr. Syed Shahbaz Ali
Assistant Professor(HEC PhD Supervisor)
Department of Physics
Dr. Syed Shahbaz Ali has completed Ph.D in 2015 with major field of Experimental Condensed Matter Physics from Institute of Physics, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2010 he completed M.Phil in Microelectronics Engineering and Semiconductor Physics from Center of Excellence in Solid State Physics, University of the Punjab and M.Sc in Physics from the same university in 2008. During his doctorate research he worked on synthesis and investigation of magnetic and structural properties of one-dimensional (1D) nanostructures composed of single element to alloys and hybrid ferromagnetic-multiferroic core-shell nanowires and nanotubes. He has published 18 research papers in well reputed SCI journals to report the possible implementation of 1D nanostructure to work as magnetic and ferroelectric data storage devices. Besides experimental background he has worked on device engineering in his M.Phil studies where he designed and simulated CMOS inverters in Multisim software.
