Biography Dr. Ejaz Mahmood Ahmad Qureshi

Dr. Ejaz Mahmood Ahmad Qureshi is  Associate Professor of Public Health in UIPH, UOL since 08-03-2019. He did his PhD, on the research title “Predicting Dengue Outbreak in a Metropolitan City” from Sustainable Study Centre, Government College University, Lahore, Pakistan. He also did M.Phil in Environment Science from the same University, M.Sc. in Community Health and Nutrition from AIOU and MBBS from Allama Iqbal Medical College Lahore in 1983. In addition to this, he did PG Diplomas inTB & Chest Diseases (DTCD) from PGMI, Lahore, in Nutrition from AIOU and in Environmental Law from Quaide- Azam Law College, University of the Punjab. He also qualified Certification Course in Dengue Prevention & Control from AIT, University of Bangkok, Thailand. He is a registered member of PM&DC, PMA and PAFP. He has >31 years of professional, academic, teaching and research experience. He has supervised 52 BS (Hons), Masters (MPH, MHM, MMCH) and M,Phil research thesis and is currently supervising 11 PhD students. He has been a Visiting Faculty member for 5 years and taught Public Health & Environment to M.Phil Environmental Science students in GCU, Lahor and for 2 years in UHS and taught Nosocomial Infection and HWM courses to M.Sc. Nursing students. Many research grants have been awarded to him as Principal Investigator and was also a task leader (Human health analysis) in HEC approved multimillion Project on “Ecosystem Health of the Indus Watershed Ecological and Biochemical Responses of Biota to Environmental Degradation in the Ravi-Chenab Watershed. He has a vast field-experience in surveys on Communicable and Non-communicable Diseases, Population Dynamics and other Public Health issues. He has an excellent communication skill in speaking and writing English. His area of interest is Environmental and Occupational Health issues, Field surveys in Communicable and non-communicable Diseases and Development of Methodologies in Public Health research. He has also been awarded certificates for his teaching and research experience by different public and private sector organizations. He has authored 20 research papers in peer-reviewed National and International Journals
