Siddique started his academic career in 2005 as a Lecturer after earning his B.Sc.
in Mechanical Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore
from where he also completed his M.Sc. in Manufacturing Engineering. Later he
proceeded to Germany where he served as a Research Assistant at Technical
University Hamburg, where he earned a Masters degree in International
Production Management, and later as a Scientific Employee at Technical
University Dortmund where he completed his doctorate and continued as a post-doctoral
fellow. He also served as visiting lecturer at Dresden International University
Germany and Southwest Jiaotong University China. Currently he is serving as an
Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, The University
of Lahore, Pakistan.
His research areas
focus on materials and mechanical aspects in manufacturing. He works on
investigating process-structure-property relationships in additive
manufacturing. Other areas of interest include, but not limited to, other non-conventional
manufacturing processes, structural analysis, mechanical reliability of parts
and components as well as failure analysis.
